Father has poured out His Spirit of adoption into our hearts, drawing us continually back into His arms.
Likewise, we have been stopping for the one wherever they appear wandering the streets, abandoned in a village, or anywhere we find them. The love of Jesus compels us to Stop for the One, and so we gather them in and offer them food, shelter and love in many practical ways.
Join us side-by-side and share the joy of sponsoring some of these recovered treasures!
For Iris, these children can be found living in our children's centers across the world or they may be dwelling in a small village where our Partners in Harvest network of pastors delivers food, clothes, medicine and educational supplies. Under our Sponsorship Program, individuals or groups may sponsor children, and from far away they may participate in this tremendous outpouring of Father's heart for these precious children, who are being transformed from orphans to full sons and daughters!
Through your support and the Lords leading, we can tackle abuse, abandonment and poverty. Together, we can help Mozambican children and their families grow, learn and become sons and daughters. If you have further questions, please contact .
Iris Center Child $100 a month per child to support
For our center children we have computed the cost of full care for each young one at a monthly cost of $100.00. The benefits to the Iris center children include housing, a balanced diet, clean water, medical care, education, recreation, and spiritual mentoring. The operational costs of an Iris center child is much greater than the costs for supporting an Iris village child. As we raise up this next generation of leaders who will carry the gospel to the world and bring His Kingdom to the earth, we are equipping our center children through further education, vocational work training, business mentoring and more. Together we are raising up this next generation of leaders who will carry the gospel to the world and establish His Kingdom on the earth.
Iris Children receive:
• Meals in the residential program (our children receive three balanced meals a day.)
• Medical services: Iris missionaries work as full-time nurses and medical doctors in a free health clinic located on the base. They do rounds twice a day to check on each of the children.
• Education is provided to all of our children through grade 12.
• Vocational training programs equip youth for their future outside of the center.
• Spiritual mentoring and discipleship: Each missionary cares for a small group of children, building relationship and discipling them. We have structured times for children's church, a Sunday school program, and a youth discipleship group for teens.
Iris Village Child $36 a month per child to support
Our heart is for every precious child to be loved and looked after. Some of the orphaned treasures who we find in the most remote villages are already living with extended family or neighbors. At times our network of pastors in rural villages join us in caring for orphans by taking children into their homes and raising them as their own. In these cases (similar to foster care) we assist the families in providing basic necessities such as food, hygiene supplies, blankets, mosquito nets and school supplies to ease the burden of caring for an extra child. God has been giving us strategy to reach more children in need, including those that do not live directly under Iris's care. Some of these are the treasures who live right next door to our center and attend our school in Pemba, Mozambique.
