KENYAN CHILD IS ADOPTED ON IRIS RELIEF TRIP
We are having an amazing time! Today, we gave out food to 400 families, which means about 2500 people! They were very hungry and very grateful. The tribe is the Turkana tribe of northern Kenya, and they look like people you may have seen in history books. The women wear many colorful bead necklaces and shaved mohawks. They have brands and tattoos to distinguish the different clans. Although they look very different, they are just like people we know. They laugh and cry and feel deep emotion, and I was surprised and thrilled by how much we were able to communicate without knowing each other
