About Iris Relief

During the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Rolland and Heidi Baker saw the great need to quickly unite Iris missionary families, partners, friends, and missions school alumni to respond to victims of international disasters. In response, the Bakers started Iris Relief, a new subdivision of Iris Ministries.

Iris Relief is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that sends teams to bring physical and spiritual relief to those facing famines, floods, plagues and other natural disasters as well as those experiencing tragedy and loss due to war and political conflict. Iris Relief teams come with resources – water, rice, beans, oil, cattle feed, medical supplies, building equipment – to feed the starving, help the diseased, rebuild homes, preserve local livestock and more. They also come in the power and presence of Jesus to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of disaster victims.

Iris Relief teams work alongside local churches to strengthen the Body of Christ who are ministering hope and healing to victims of disaster, and also partner with national relief organizations for maximum impact in disaster zones.
